In honor of Veterans Day, Conduit Health Partners is delighted to shine a spotlight on one of our extraordinary employees, Barbara Channell. Barbara not only brings her immense talent and dedication to our team as a triage nurse but also carries with her a wealth of experience and courage from her time serving in the Navy.
For almost four years, Barbara has been an integral part of our Conduit family, using her skills and expertise to triage incoming calls from providers, ensuring our patients receive the best care precisely when they need it, and determining if emergent care is necessary. Her passion for health care and her commitment to our patients are truly inspiring.
Reflecting on her journey, Barbara shared her heartfelt thoughts: “Something that still sticks with me is the feeling from my orientation here. You could feel the sincere commitment to caring for the people, especially the underserved. It made me feel good about wanting to work with this company.” Her dedication to our mission of providing compassionate care is evident in every interaction.
Barbara’s story is one of bravery and resilience. Joining the Navy right after high school, she spent four impactful years, including time in the Philippines, where she participated in a search and rescue mission. The experiences she gained during her military service have become the foundation upon which she has built her successful career, instilling in her values of discipline, time management, accountability, attention to detail, and pride for America.
